What do you feed a toddler?

Mia is a decent eater but also a little picky. I'm always looking for new ideas of healthy things to feed her for a meal, snack, etc. Can anyone out there share some ideas?

Well, being the mother of the world's newest picky toddler, I don't have too many answers. However, tonight Miles DEVOURED haddock fish with a mango and kidney bean chutney. That is the first time he has eaten most of his meal, and that made me a very happy mommy!

When all else fails, we do bite sized frosted shredded mini-wheats. I know, not gourmet. But E likes feeding himself and those are big enough for him to get in his mouth. Also, he is so thin, so anything that involves whole milk makes me happy...

Lately...my little one seems to love smoothie shakes. We have them for breakfast or a treat. Helps get the fruits and milk down!!!

Asher is picky too here are some of my successes/ steps toward healthy eating.
mix my tub of vanilla with tub of plain yogurt (rquires an extra container
I use my food processor to add spinach to LOTS of things ie. "green macaroni and cheese", spinach in the cheese of lasagna, spinach in zucchini bread etc, and our latest is green smoothies. First stuff the blender with spinach or any other leafy green and then add whatever other frozen fruit. Lemon juice will temper the bitterness of the green stuff and then for sure add yogurt or a banana or both.

can you tell my biggest problem with Asher is getting him to eat his "greens"!? And to think I started with the pureed green beans and sweet peas and he loved it all then!

kidney beans. My girls still like them for a snack.
